CUSTOMER PROPERTY PROTECTION

Once the customer’s property comes into our care, custody, and control, we have a tremendous responsibility to protect their possessions. Our goal is to provide our customer the ultimate in protection of their possessions. We start the protection process during the interview by capturing information about the "special items" and the hard to move items. Our efforts stop only once the customer’s possessions have been returned to them safely in their new home.

PACKING

Our service teams know exactly how to protect the most fragile items. The combination of packing paper, cardboard separators, using original cartons for many items, or just by creating a special protective covering before packing fragile items into the regular moving carton helps reduce the potential for damage. Marking the cartons with the contents and room location reduces confusion at the new home.

 

WRAPPING

Upholstery items are covered with new clean paper pads and then shrink wrapped for maximum protection. Furniture, all finished items, and many other items are wrapped in heavy pads to protect them during the transit part of the move. Some special items are wrapped inside before they are moved outside the customer’s house to the moving van. We use tape to secure the pads to the item. This keeps the pads on very tight throughout the move and it strengthens the item, too.

 

                       

 

COVERING

Our protection program includes covering the entrance floor at the residence, covering the banisters, using door guards to protect the doorframes, and protecting other high-risk areas in the home. Covering these areas reduce risks for property damage and increase customer confidence with our moving services.
